I am the one who created this website and am the girl who connects this network together. I built Family and Friend Recipes as a community to connect with my loved ones through cooking. I’m an avid vegetable & herb gardener. I also love upcycling projects.

My favorite things to cook are: home style dishes, spicy foods, and lots of veggies, pestos, herb butters, dried fruit chips & sun-dried tomatoes

My favorite things to eat are: cheeses, veggies, salsas, grilled everything, Tex-Mex, Korean, Chinese, Mediterranean, Indian

I’m Matt – married to Emily. I watched her build this site for a year & think the concept is really cool. I hope it brings the family closer together.

My favorite things to cook are: anything on the grill, anything on the smoker & pizzas from scratch

My favorite things to eat are: mac & cheese, fajitas, steak, tamales and everything my wife cooks (almost everything)

You can’t connect with me on social media. Because I hate it. That’s why I have a phone. It’s as social as I get.

So, hi, this is Meg. I particularly like vegetarian cooking and baking desserts. I know enough vegans and people who avoid gluten that I like to keep track of good recipes that accommodate them.

Carol Leslie Hargis

I am: FAMILY

I was born Carol Jean Leslie. I am married to Glen Hargis, who is Emily’s uncle. Glen’s brother Paul was Emily’s father. I have two daughters, Amy and Meg. Amy is married to Randy Mayhall, and they have a son, Trip. My brother John Leslie is married to Kathy Hornberger Leslie. They have three children: Sara, Rachel, and Matt. Rachel is married to Aaron Powell, and they have a daughter Kathryn Grace.

My favorite things to cook are: Alma’s Pan Fried Steak, Chicken and Dumplings, Potato Salad

My favorite things to eat are: Mexican and Tex-Mex, all kinds of Asian, Italian everything
